Commercial HVAC Installer

Looking for a an opportunity to grow with a rapidly growing HVAC company ? We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our growing team. As an HVAC Installer, you will be responsible for installation of light commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

- Installing new heating, ventilation (medium and large round, rectangle and square), air conditioning, and refrigeration systems

- Assist in Measuring and ordering Duct- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes

- Assist with Daily Reports, following OSHA safety requirements, working in warm/cold environments as needed

Qualifications:

- 2+ years experience as an Commercial HVAC Installer in New Construction and Remodels with Foreman Experience

- Valid driver's license- Mechanical Journey License

- High school diploma or equivalent

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations related to HVAC systems

- Proficiency in using tools and equipment for HVAC installation

- Ability to install HVAC systems- Ability to read Construction Plans, Job Specs, and Submittals

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities

- Competent in using electronic devices and using/navigating Construction Management Apps

Position summary

Triad Heating and Air: This role is responsible for the field installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of commercial and light-commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment. Work includes installation and connection of packaged rooftop units, split systems, ductwork, piping, electrical and controls, start-up and on‑site adjustments, and verification of safe, code‑compliant, energy‑efficient operation in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable regulations.

The Commercial HVAC Installer acts as the frontline technical resource ensuring systems are installed and placed into reliable service. The role requires coordination with contractors, site supervisors and service managers, documentation of work performed, maintenance of tools and service vehicle, and communication of basic operation and maintenance needs to building owners or facility staff.

\n\n

Scope and accountability

Perform full field installation of commercial HVACR systems: equipment set, fuel/electrical/condenser connections, ductwork/piping assembly, controls wiring, refrigerant charging and brazing as required.
Conduct system start-up, commissioning, testing and balancing; verify performance against specifications and codes; complete required documentation and manufacturer checklists.
Diagnose and repair installation faults and service failures; implement corrective actions to restore operation and prevent recurrence.
Ensure compliance with applicable building, mechanical and electrical codes, OSHA and site safety rules, EPA 608 refrigerant handling requirements and manufacturer installation guidelines.
Coordinate schedules and work sequencing with general contractors, trade partners and Triad supervisors to meet project timelines and minimize disruption.
Maintain service vehicle, tools, diagnostic equipment and parts stock; report consumable and replacement part needs to parts/supply function.
Record work performed, labor hours, parts used and job notes in company work order / project management systems accurately and promptly.
Provide on‑site operator guidance and basic preventive maintenance recommendations to customers upon turnover.

Start‑up and commissioning: ability to perform performance verification, airflow and refrigerant charge adjustments, and system balancing.
